The original PacCoin has been transformed by the community. PAC as it was originally designed was failing and it was abandoned by the previous developer for years. In the fall of 2017, a new DEV team formed quickly and revived the coin. The new team with the help of the PAC community started focusing their energy on re-branding PacCoin to have a new purpose & direction. The coin has been successfully re-branded as the 'People's Alternative Choice' coin.
The current coin supply is around 3.3 Trillion or around 3.3% of the total supply of 100 Trillion that was originally designed. When PAC is re-forked the new design will move the number of coins to 1,000 less or 100 Billion coins. This new coin design allows PAC to be traded on several other exchanges properly – instead of stuck trading against lower valuation coins.
As of today 12/26/2017 there are well over 700 PAC affiliates signed up on the website. The site is attracting 3,000+ unique visitors a day!
The coin has evolved to focus on four 'C's: Community, Charity, Content and Choice.
On Feb 1st there will be an early opportunity to purchase a master-node for 2 Billion PAC. This will allow the network to be secured before the launch March 1st of the coin redemption begins.
The first major community project will be to launch PacFYLE.com a social network focused on the four 'C's above – the Alpha for this will be launched on Jan 1st.
Currently the new DEV team is working behind the scenes on the new PacCoin. The new PacCoin road-map is being discovered by the new DEV team and the community and will be relaunched shortly around Feb 1st/2018.
There is also a bigger focus being placed on PacCoin building its momentum after this fork to be a top 50 coin in the Cryptosphere
The community is working from scratch as their is no active bounty fund or treasury to grow the coin. The PacCoin relaunch is a true grassroots effort.
The team thanks the original founder William Corliss for launching the framework of what could be the beginning of a great story
